Acoustic design ceilings

Perforated Gypsum Plasterboards form the basis of our ceilings

These are available with various types of joint finishing (e.g. Compound Seam, VoglFuge, GSG4 Joint) and can have additional functions, such as cooling and heating elements, lighting components, etc. Along with a big variety of standard perforation patterns, we are also in a position to implement customised perforation designs.

Design Options

Large spaces—especially high-traffic public areas like schools, daycare centers, or government buildings—pose unique challenges in both acoustics and design. Our ceiling solutions provide harmonized concepts that address these demands effectively. Furthermore they actively contribute to improving indoor air through their air-purifying effect.

Acoustic design ceilings are the most significant instrument in the  acoustic design of a room.To determine the right sound absorption,
various factors, such as room volume or planned utilisation are of relevance.

There is a large selection of different acoustic design ceilings to optimise room acoustics. In drywall construction, acoustic design ceilings are designed to fulfil the highest demands in terms of function and aesthetics. In heavily busy areas, such ceiling systems serve as sound absorbers, cooling elements and as an aesthetic component.

Our ceilings are based on perforated plasterboard panels. With the help of different hole patterns and suspension heights, we achieve all sound absorption classes and can therefore meet different requirements for optimising room acoustics.

The three areas of application for absorbent materials

Acoustic Design of the Room

Interaction of acoustic effectiveness and target group-oriented planned use.

Noise Reduction

Improving speech intelligibility and creating a good room climate.

Control of Reverberation Time

Optimizing sound quality and creating acoustic comfort.
